Street Art in Portugal

During my trips I always try to look for the best things that a place has to offer, trying to combine natural, cultural and artistic landscapes from every country, in order to absorb the most genuine background and its cultural beauty. I like to search, specifically, for artistic expressions, either in buildings’ architecture, doors or windows, or either in museums, where I like to contemplate masterpieces and also get to know the local painters, but specially, it gives me a great pleasure wandering in the streets and get astonished with big murals or just little urban art details. Some spaces are in fact real open sky galleries, and those murals give color and life to the history of each local.

This is a little pleasure that I try to get from every trip, and this allowed me to collect photos that immortalized various urban artwork, which include different techniques and that send several messages, such as social, political or economic criticisms, which I intend to share in this blog also. Having said that, I am starting with a publication of some street art examples in Portugal, which I have found from north to south of our little, but surprisingly beautiful country.

Então, vamos viajar pelas paredes de portugal de norte a sul do país...
Let’s travel through the walls of Portugal, from north to the south of the country...

A challenge

Let’s paint Portugal together!

There´s an entire world of Portuguese street art to find out. So I would like to suggest something! Send your photos of a street art project from your town, or just a artwork that you particularly like in Portugal, to theworldpaintedbylittlelle@gmail.com, indicating your name, locality name (where you found the artwork) and the artist name (if you know it), so I can publish it, and therefore show various urban artistic expressions in Portugal composed by different perspectives, namely yours!
