Milão
é uma ótima escolha para fazer uma escapadinha de fim de semana. Se tens mais
tempo de viagem, esta cidade para onde normalmente consegues voos baratos, pode
ser um ponto de passagem para outras cidades italianas ou das vizinhas Suíça ou França. No
planeamento da tua viagem a Milão, sugiro que dividas o tempo disponível por
aquilo que a cidade é conhecida: Arte e Moda. Para além disso, como em qualquer
cidade italiana a história e a gastronomia não podem ficar de fora do roteiro.
Para preencheres o teu programa milanês, deixo-te ficar algumas sugestões
nestas quatro áreas que acabam por estar sempre interligadas, como vais ver.
Milan is a great choice for a
weekend getaway. If you have more time to travel, this city where you usually
get cheap flights, can be a point of passage to other Italian cities or to the neighbouring
Switzerland or France. When planning your trip to Milan, I suggest you to divide your time
for the things that this city is known for: Art and Fashion. Besides that, as
in any Italian city, history and gastronomy cannot be left out of the itinerary.
To fill your Milanese program, I'll leave you with some suggestions in these
four areas that end up being always interconnected, as you will see.

Mas
primeiro algumas dicas práticas para te orientares. Para ir do Aeroporto para o
centro da cidade, podes apanhar um bus para a estação central (5€), a viagem
dura cerca de 1h. Para te deslocares em Milão, podes por exemplo utilizar o
metro. Uma viagem custa 1,5€, o bilhete diário (metro + bus) custa 4,5€ e o
bi-diário 8,25€. Saliento que a cidade tem uma taxa hoteleira elevada, paga-se
5€ por pessoa em cada noite. Fora isso, se conseguires resistir às tentações,
consegues fazer uma viagem baratinha.
But first some practical tips for
you. To go from the airport to the city center, you can take a bus to the
central station (5 €), the journey takes about 1 hour. Across Milan, you can
use the metro, for instance. A single trip costs € 1.5, the daily ticket (metro
+ bus) costs € 4.5 and the bi-daily € 8.25. I point out that Milan has a high city
tax, you must pay € 5 per person each night. Besides that, if you can resist
the temptations, you can make a cheap trip.

Art
Milão
apresenta uma vasta oferta de museus e galerias de arte, basta escolheres as
correntes que mais gostas para poderes selecionar quais queres conhecer. Dada a
minha preferência por arte moderna e contemporânea, fui ao
Museu del Novecento (10€), situado mesmo ao lado do
Duomo. Gostei bastante do museu, sendo
também possível ter uma vista bonita para o
Duomo
e para a praça envolvente no último piso do museu.
Milan offers a wide range of museums
and art galleries, you have just to choose the art movements that you like the most
in order to select what you want to know. Given my preference for modern and
contemporary art, I went to the Museo del Novecento (€ 10), located right next
to the Duomo. I really enjoyed the museum, and it’s also possible to have a
beautiful view of the Duomo and the surrounding square on the top floor of the
museum.

Se
não quiseres perder a oportunidade de ver uma
masterpiece tira o bilhete
online (12€), com o máximo tempo de
antecedência possível, para veres a Última Ceia de Leonardo da Vinci, fresco
que se encontra na parede do refeitório da Igreja
Santa Maria delle Grazie. A obra só pode ser vista em visita de
grupo com hora previamente agendada. São-te dados apenas 15 minutos para
observares esta obra de arte e tentares decifrar o código por detrás da mesma.
If you don’t want to miss the
opportunity to see a masterpiece take the ticket online (€ 12), as soon as
possible, to see the Last Supper of Leonardo da Vinci, fresco on the wall of
the refectory of the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. The work can only be
seen in a group visit with a previously scheduled time. You are given only 15
minutes to observe this piece of art and try to decipher the code behind it.

Como
amante de arte e de moda, não pude deixar de ir à
Fondazione Prada (10€; Largo Isarco, nº2; metro: M3 Lodi). A
fundação apresenta exposições de arte contemporânea distribuídas por diversos
espaços irreverentes. O bar da fundação foi decorado pelo realizador de cinema
Wes Anderson. Estes dois ingredientes juntos, só podiam originar um café
singular! Adorei o Bar Luce! Os preços são relativamente acessíveis.
In the bohemian district of Brera,
you will find one of the largest museums in the city that preserves one of the
largest collections of painting in Italy - the Pinacoteca di Brera. In the closest
surroundings you can pass through several art galleries, shops and a flea
market of antiques - Mercatino di Brera (third Sunday of each month). It’s also
a nice promenade. In another perspective of art, near Brera, it’s possible to
visit the beautiful interior of the Teatro alla Scala. Some may be fortunate
enough to get tickets for a show, unfortunately I wasn’t the fortunate one.

History
No
coração da cidade está a famosa
Piazza do
Duomo, como o nome indica encontra-se o imponente
Duomo em estilo gótico, a segunda maior catedral de Itália. No
terraço tens uma bonita vista para a cidade e se tiveres sorte com o tempo
consegues ver os Alpes. O preço para subir ao terraço varia consoante queiras
subir as escadas em caracol a pé (9€) ou prefiras ir de elevador (13€). Se
quiseres visitar o interior da catedral tens de pagar mais 2€.
Castello Sforzesco is another
historical point of interest (open daily, from 7 to 7:30 p.m.), built in the 15th
century by Francesco Sforza, a family name that you will often find associated
with many things in Milan. Nowadays, the castel foster the Civic museums that
feature a rich collection of paintings and archaeological objects.

A
partir do Castelo, podes caminhar até ao Arco della Pace, localizado na Piazza
Sempione, que faz lembrar o Arco do Triunfo de Paris. E não é por acaso, sendo
que este foi também uma encomenda de Napoleão.
From the Castle, you can walk to the
Arco della Pace, located in Piazza Sempione, which resembles the Arc de
Triomphe in Paris. It isn’t a coincidence at all, since it was also an order
from Napoleon.

Fashion
Sendo
Milão conhecida como a Capital Italiana da Moda, o passeio pelas ruas das lojas
de alta costura pode ser considerado uma verdadeira atração turística (boa
desculpa para ver montras). A Via Monte
Napoleone, a Via della Spiga, a Via Manzoni ou o Corso Venezia, que compõem o chamado Quadrilatero d’Oro ou quadrilátero da moda, são bons exemplos
disso. Se sentires que é frustrante ver e provavelmente não poder comprar, o
passeio pelo Corso Vittorio Emanuelle II
ou pela Via Torino, podem ser a
terapia ideal.
Being Milan known as the Italian
Capital of Fashion, the stroll through the streets of haute couture shops can
be considered a true attraction (good excuse to see shops). Via Monte
Napoleone, Via della Spiga, Via Manzoni or Corso Venezia, which make up the
so-called Quadrilatero d'Oro or fashionable quadrilateral, are good examples of
this. If you feel that it’s frustrating to see and probably not be able to buy,
the tour at Corso Vittorio Emanuelle
II or Via Torino may be the ideal therapy.

Ainda
relativamente à moda, é obrigatório atravessar a clássica Galeria Vittorio
Emanuelle II, sendo esta o
ex-libris
da cidade juntamente com o vizinho
Duomo.
Dentro das galerias, se conseguires tirar os
olhos do teto, procura no chão os testículos do touro, pois segundo a tradição
local deves rodar 3 vezes sobre o calcanhar em cima dos testículos do bicho,
isto se queres ter sorte.
Next to the galleries, there’s a
large department store with several floors "La Rinascente". On the
top floor of the shop there’s a food court and an esplanade with a privileged
view to the Duomo. Regarding stores, I also liked the concept store "10
Corso Como" (Metro: Garibaldi).

Gastronomy
La
pizza, la pasta, la salsa di pomodoro… pois é, nesta trilogia falta o chocolate
quente! Sem dúvida, Milão foi um dos sítios onde bebi indiscriminadamente um
dos melhores chocolates quentes! Consoante o café, paguei entre 1,5€ a 6,5€.
Se as tuas preferências passam por outro tipo de bebidas, o Aperol Spritz é uma bebida bastante apreciada por lá. Podes por exemplo ir tomar uma bebida no Bar Magenta, durante a
happy hour (17h30 às 21h), onde por 8,50€ tens comida à descrição.
The
pizza, the pasta, the sauce di pomodoro... In this trilogy is missing the hot chocolate! Undoubtedly, Milan was one
of the places where I indiscriminately drank one of the best hot chocolates
ever! Depending on the café, I paid between € 1.5 and € 6.5. If your preferences go through other
types of drinks, the Aperol Spritz is a very appreciated alcoholic drink there.
You can, for example, have a drink at the Bar Magenta during happy hour (5:30
pm to 9:00 pm), where you can have a meal for € 8.50.

Se
quiseres algo mais requintado, podes mesmo comer na Galeria Vittório Emmanuelle
II. Se escolheres com atenção o restaurante, podes não pagar assim tanto. Por
exemplo, no restaurante
Gallerias não pagas taxas e oferecem-te a entrada. Já
no restaurante
Gatto Rosso pagas uma taxa de
coperto de 4€.
If you want something more refined,
you can even eat at Vittorio Emmanuelle II Gallery. If you choose the
restaurant carefully, you may not pay that much. For example, in the Galleria restaurant
you do not pay taxes and they offer you the entrance. In the restaurant Gatto
Rosso you pay a coperto fee of € 4.

Um
outro ponto da cidade agradável para fazer uma refeição é a
Navigli. Este bairro, com um ambiente
mais descontraído, é conhecido pelos canais de água artificiais, que foram desenhados
em parte pelo também engenheiro Leonardo Da Vinci. Depois de fazeres a tua
refeição num dos muitos restaurantes e cafés deste bairro, podes aproveitar
para fazer uma caminhada ao longo do canal para digerires melhor os petiscos
milaneses. Estes canais outrora serviam para o transporte de pessoas e
mercadorias e para irrigação. O
Naviglio Grande é o canal mais antigo da
cidade, tendo sido utilizado para o transporte de carvão, madeira e de mármore
para a construção do
Duomo di Milano. Nessa zona é habitual fazer-se uma feira
de velharias.
Another pleasant site of the city
where you can have a meal is the Navigli. This neighbourhood, with a more
relaxed atmosphere, is known for the artificial water channels, which were
designed in part by, the also engineer, Leonardo Da Vinci. After having your
meal in one of the many restaurants and cafes of this neighbourhood, you can
enjoy a walk along the canal to digest better the Milanese snacks. These
channels were once used to transport people and goods and for irrigation. The
Naviglio Grande is the oldest canal in the city and has been used to transport
coal, wood and marble for the construction of the Duomo di Milano. It is
usually made a flea market in this zone.

Se
fores um/uma
cat lover estás com sorte. Perto da Estação Central existe
um Cat café o Crazy Cat Café, onde podes tomar um brunch por 18€ e conviver com
os gatinhos todos recolhidos de abrigos e sendo agora tratados como uns
lords.
If you are a cat lover, you have a Cat
Café - the Crazy Cat Café near the Central Station, where you can have a brunch
for € 18 and hang out with the kittens, all collected from shelters, who are
now treated like lords.
