Se neste blog pretendo partilhar a minha perspetiva do modo de “pintar” o mundo, penso ser importante saberem um pouco sobre mim.

O meu nome é Laura, sou portuguesa, psicóloga de profissão e apaixonada pela arte. Desde pequena que pratico várias modalidades de dança, com especial dedicação ao Ballet, talvez seja esse o motivo pelo qual a obra de Degas se encontre entre as minhas preferências. Desde cedo, os meus pais fomentaram-me o gosto por diferentes culturas e pela arte, criando-me uma necessidade de procura da beleza.

Enquanto psicóloga tenho-me dedicado ao trabalho com crianças e jovens em risco, tendo realizado nos últimos anos um projeto de intervenção baseado na arte.  Recentemente integrei o projeto Inclus'art.Creative brain, do qual sou editora. O ICCB pretende, através da fusão moda- arte, colocar o processo criativo ao serviço da reabilitação mental e neurológica. Uni, assim, duas áreas que gosto bastante.

Nos meus tempos livres, procuro viajar e captar através da fotografia, uma paixão que vem de há várias gerações na minha família, o lado colorido e minimalista de cada local.

Os meus amigos caracterizam-me como uma it girl, sempre com o passaporte na mão, com sensibilidade e um sentido apurado do que é belo. Afirmam que sou curiosa e observadora do mundo à minha volta, persistente e determinada na big picture, mantendo o foco nos meus objetivos. Que procuro a arte na psicologia e a psicologia na arte. Relativamente ao meu estilo pessoal dizem que sou irreverente, criativa, original, doce e elegante. 

Talvez por ser psicóloga, neste blog pretendo partilhar as minhas experiências e perspetivas de uma forma quase mindful, tentando transmitir as emoções e sensações de forma a dar cor e textura a cada viagem. Com esta iniciativa, gostava de criar, para aqueles que se identifiquem com a minha perspetiva, uma fonte de inspiração para viajar e conhecer diferentes locais e culturas, tal como vários bloggers me inspiraram a mim.

Since this blog intends to share my perspective on how to “paint” the world, then I believe it is important for you guys to know a little bit more about me.

My name is Laura, I’m Portuguese, a psychologist and an art lover. Since young age, I have been practicing different dance styles, with special focus on ballet, perhaps that´s the reason why Degas’ work is on my top preferences. Since early age, my parents encouraged me to get interested in different cultures and art, creating inside me a necessity to search for beauty.

As a psychologist, I’ve been working with at-risk children and teenagers and I’ve been doing an intervention project based on art for the last few years. Recently, I became the editor of the Inclus'art.Creative Brain (ICCB) project. ICCB intends to, through the fusion of fashion and art, connect the creative process to the mental and neurological rehabilitation. Therefore, I connected two areas which I truly like.

During my spare time, I travel and try to collect through photography, a passion that came across many generations in my family, the minimalistic and colorful side of each site.~

My friends see me as the “it girl, always with the passport on my hands”, with a sensitive side for beauty. They say I’m curious and an observer of the world that surrounds me, persistent and determined in the big picture, but keeping the focus on my goals. They also say “I search art in psychology and psychology in art”. Regarding my personal style, they say I’m irreverent, creative, original, sweet and elegant.

Maybe because I’m a psychologist, on this blog I intend to share my experiences and perspectives almost in a mindful way, trying to convey emotions and sensations with the intention to give some color and texture to each trip. With this initiative, I would like to create, for those who identify themselves with my perspective, an inspiration source for travelling and getting to know more about different places and cultures, like many other bloggers did with me.
